Version 1.0 — Effective April 10, 2026. Last updated April 10, 2026.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Storoo personalized story service operated by Storoo (entity registration pending), based in India. By creating an account or using Storoo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Storoo accounts may only be created by parents or legal guardians who are at least 18 years of age. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
(a) you are at least 18 years of age;
(b) you are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose information you provide, or you have the legal authority to act on behalf of that child's parent or guardian;
(c) you have the legal authority to consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of that child's information as described in our Children's Privacy Policy; and
(d) all information you provide is accurate.
If any of these representations becomes untrue, you will immediately cease using Storoo and notify us. You agree to indemnify Storoo against any claims arising from a breach of these representations.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may sign up using an email address and password, or via Google OAuth. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. One child profile per subscription is supported at launch.
Storoo is a paid subscription service. Pricing is as follows:
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay and will auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. Razorpay handles all payment processing — Storoo does not store your full card details. Prices may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
New subscribers receive a 5-day free trial. At signup, we process a small refundable verification charge to your payment card. This charge serves two purposes: it confirms that you are an adult cardholder and satisfies the parental verification requirements that apply to children's services, and it confirms your card is valid for the subscription. The charge amount is fully credited to your first paid month, or refunded if you cancel before your trial ends.
You will not be charged the full subscription amount during your 5-day trial. On Day 6, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the applicable monthly rate unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Profile page in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to receive stories until then. No partial-month refunds are issued for mid-cycle cancellations. If you cancel during the free trial, the verification charge is refunded and no further charge is made. For billing disputes or refund requests related to payment processing issues, contact support@storoo.co.in.
Storoo stories are generated using artificial intelligence. We are transparent about this: our stories are AI-generated, guided by real pedagogy and your input, with every story safety-checked before delivery. While we strive for high-quality, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive content, AI-generated stories may occasionally contain inaccuracies, unexpected phrasing, or content that does not perfectly match your expectations. Storoo does not guarantee that every story will be flawless. If you receive a story you find inappropriate, please contact us at support@storoo.co.in and we will investigate.
Every story passes through a two-layer safety check before delivery. The first layer is a keyword filter that screens for violence, profanity, scary themes, and other inappropriate content. The second layer is an AI-based safety review that evaluates age-appropriateness, positive messaging, absence of stereotypes, and bedtime suitability. Stories that fail either check are rejected and regenerated. Despite these measures, no automated system is perfect — if you encounter content that concerns you, please report it to support@storoo.co.in immediately.
You agree to use Storoo only for its intended purpose: receiving personalized stories for your child. You agree not to: attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract story generation prompts or algorithms; share your account credentials with third parties; use the service for any unlawful purpose; or submit false information in your child's profile. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Story text and audio generated by Storoo for your subscription are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share stories within your household. Storoo retains intellectual property rights in the story generation system, prompts, templates, and methodology. The Storoo name, logo, and brand elements are trademarks of Storoo (entity registration pending). You retain ownership of the personal data you provide (names, preferences, etc.).
Your use of Storoo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data, and our Children's Privacy Policy, which specifically addresses how we handle information about your child. By using Storoo, you consent to the data practices described in those policies. Data retention follows the schedule set out in our Privacy Policy: active subscription + 90 days for child information and audio files; 12 months post-cancellation for parent contact information; 3 years for consent records (in restricted access).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Storoo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to Storoo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₹2,000 / US $25. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Storoo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. This governing law clause will be updated with specific jurisdiction details upon entity registration.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or share your child's personal information, we will not apply that change to your existing account until we have obtained your renewed consent.
